CNC24 appoints Markus König as Chief Financial Officer
The B2B procurement platform continues to grow in terms of personnel: With Markus König, CNC24 is bringing an experienced finance and industry expert on board. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), König will take over the management of the finance department with immediate effect.
The engineering graduate has acquired in-depth expertise in the implementation of private equity and capital market transactions (such as IPOs) through his many years of experience in the investment banking division of the Swiss Credit Suisse. König then spent time in California at the renowned Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he got up close and personal with the venture capital industry in Silicon Valley. Due to his strong interest in social entrepreneurship, König decided to work in Africa, where he was previously Group CFO at the technology incubator Level 5 Lab, where he led the restructuring of the group and the development of the finance team.
Since 2018, he has been supporting companies and (social) start-ups in their early and growth phases as a start-up advisor and interim manager, advising them on the strategic and financial direction of their business model. He is now contributing this expertise to smart manufacturer CNC24. As CFO, König is responsible for strategic and operational financial management as well as the introduction of innovative financial products for suppliers and customers.
“We are very happy to have found such an experienced specialist for finance and investments in Markus, we have been relying on his consulting expertise for some time and his venture capital experience will help us a lot to further expand our business model,” says Willi Ruopp, Co-Founder and CEO of CNC24.
“I have known CNC24 for some time now and was immediately impressed by its innovative business model. Now I am very much looking forward to working with a great team to drive the digital platform forward and become the first choice for industrial companies in digital component procurement,” says Markus König about his new position as CFO.
