CNC24 invests in supplier management team
The Berlin-based start-up is expanding its team with four industry experts who will actively drive forward the company’s supply chain management. The focus is on the continuous development of manufacturing partners, the further expansion of the supplier network and the introduction of an innovative audit process for quality assurance that combines web audits and personal on-site visits. With these changes in supplier management, CNC24 is positioning itself as a quality leader among online manufacturers.
As Head of Supplier Management, Gustavo Vaz has been responsible for coordinating and optimizing the value and supply chain processes at CNC24 since March 2023. Together with his team, he is developing a strategy for the systematic further development of the global supplier network and ensuring production capacities in all manufacturing processes. After working as a management consultant for 13 years, Vaz gained his experience in supply chain management at the e-commerce mail order company Wayfair, where he worked for five years and most recently held the position of Senior Partner Operations Manager.
With Steven Kuschel, the start-up is also bringing another industry expert on board. The mechanical engineering graduate most recently held the position of Process Improvement Specialist at online mail order company Amazon. During his five-year stint at TDK Sensors AG & Co. KG, a manufacturer of electronic components, Kuschel was Supplier Quality Manager with responsibility for supplier development, among other things. Kuschel is now bringing his many years of experience in this area and his expertise in setting up robust audit processes to CNC24.
The Supplier Management Team is rounded off by Mike Rekus and Sumit Chichiriya, who as Supplier Managers are responsible for supporting and expanding the start-up’s supplier network. The entire team reports to Marlon Gerat, Co-Founder and Chief Production Officer of CNC24.
“We are delighted about the addition to our supplier management team. The investment underlines our growth ambitions. The expertise in global supply chain management combined with our dedicated industry focus will allow us to strengthen our supplier relationships, systematically close gaps in our manufacturing offering and further expand our service portfolio,” explains Marlon Gerat.
