Start-up CNC24 awarded the German Excellence Prize 2023

CNC24 has won the German Excellence Award 2023 in the “Digital Champions – Startups” category. The prize was awarded to the company for its outstanding work on the digitalization of industry.

The start-up CNC24 is one of the lucky winners of the Excellence Award 2023. The company was awarded the prize in the “Digital Champions – Startups” category. Under the motto digital, innovative and creative, CNC24 was able to prevail over 101 well-known companies with its business model. The digital marketplace for precision components provides new impetus in the industry.

Co-founder and CEO Willi Ruopp accepted the award on January 26 at the Bertelsmann Representative Office in Berlin. The award ceremony took place in front of around 100 invited guests from business, science and the media. “We feel honored,” says Willi Ruopp. “The award is confirmation of the good work of our entire team. Together, we have made CNC24 a digital pioneer in the manufacturing industry and we are very proud of that.”

Revolution in component procurement

Founded in 2019, the online marketplace is revolutionizing the procurement process for precision components by focusing on digitalization and automation. CNC24 enables customers to process orders completely digitally and uses AI to match them with suitable suppliers. Today, 1,500 customers from the DACH region already rely on CNC24’s manufacturing expertise. Last year, components with a total weight of over 1,000 tons were measured and checked for quality in the company’s own measuring center. Despite the global crisis, inflation and supply and material bottlenecks, the company was able to record an inquiry volume of 129 million euros and double its supplier network to 560 manufacturers in 22 countries.

The German Excellence Award was presented for the fifth time this year. The award was created and presented by the news channel ntv, DUP Unternehmer Magazin and the German Institute for Service Quality. The high-caliber jury examined the applications received for excellent products, services, campaigns, projects and creators. Federal Minister Brigitte Zypries is the patron of the project.
