Start-up: Online marketplace CNC24 is now a full-service provider for injection molding
CNC24 is expanding its offering and is now a full-service provider for the production of injection molded components. The digital and globally active manufacturing platform thus offers the complete supply chain solution for components of all quantities.
Berlin, November 21, 2022 – The Berlin-based start-up CNC24 continues to grow in economically challenging times. The smart manufacturer is systematically and continuously expanding its range of services and can now offer the full spectrum of manufacturing processes for injection-molded components. Customers now have a complete supply chain solution for precision components in all quantities. Willi Ruopp, CEO and Co-Founder, is optimistic about the future: “We see ourselves as the extended purchasing department of our customers. The expansion of our range of injection molding services is a further step on the way to becoming the leading marketplace for the procurement of components. CNC24 is the only player in Germany that combines all manufacturing processes and quantities, from the first prototype to series production, on one platform.”
Production methods in injection molding
CNC24 already works with over 500 selected manufacturers worldwide and is expanding the number of suppliers in a targeted manner in order to broaden the range of services for its approximately 1000 customers. One focus is on the expertise of the manufacturing partners: “The challenge is not to find manufacturers for specific processes. They have to meet CNC24’s strict quality standards and offer maximum reliability,” explains Marlon Gerat, Chief Production Officer and Co-Founder. A complaint rate of 0.17% confirms the high demands placed on suppliers. In addition to the regular quality control in production, all components undergo an additional quality control in CNC24’s in-house measuring center before they are sent to the customer.
CNC24 now covers the full range of injection molding processes. Customers can order components in insert molding, over molding, silicone injection molding (LSR), plastic injection molding, multi-component injection molding and compression molding (CM) via the platform. This is CNC24’s direct response to customer demand, as there is no alternative to injection molding for the cost-effective series production of many products. It is a manufacturing process with high throughput times that enables series production in large quantities.
